Kita Gerek! - #kitagerek

Recently, Dua M has produced a programme titled Kita Gerek; following the success of 70an Gerek, 80an Gerek and 90an Gerek which celebrates the Malay music scene. The Malay audiences often complain about the dearth of Malay performers and talents in the local scene. As such, Kita Gerek would like to push the idea that the Malay entertainment scene actually has a big pool of talents and we would like to celebrate them. In Kita Gerek, their aim is to provide a platform for our local artistes to take the opportunity to pay tribute to their “Icons”. This unique programme presents local artistes with the challenge of presenting their “Icon’s” works in their own way. (Hint: Jamal Abdillah, M.Nasir, Siti Nurhaliza and etc!) This weekly programme will feature 3 artistes in each episode and they will each select a song made popular by the Icon and then rearrange it to infuse their own influences into the song.

I had the privilege to be one of the 10 panelists / judges in the programme! I had to comment on the artistes' rendition of the song and picked the best among all 3 renditions! (Well, my role was just tiny wheeny but I got to sit amongst the greats!) I was involved in 4 episodes and the recording was in December 2011 but I just blogged about it because..... KITA GEREK DEBUTS ON 31ST JANUARY 2012! Gentle reminder, watch it or you'll regret it! :p

I'll be nice this time as I'll be sharing and revealing some photos taken during the recording...

CNY Weekend - Soul Sisters Outing

Been quite a while since we last hang out together in full force. Definitely a great reunion dinner and shopping in Town. They never fails to make me laugh, especially our manager Fafa! We stuffed our round faces with foods from Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ buffet! We were so full that we had to stop half way. Haha. It's more or less like Sakura buffet and kinda affordable.. What's good there? The fresh bbq meat served by the ala Micheal Jackson chef and their finger foods! Oh, I'm a desserts lover! Yums. (It's recommended by our dear manager! I'll bring my parents there next month! :p)

Roaming around town, from one end to another, bumped into familiar faces, shopped for necessary stuffs (I need to stop going to Smiggle and Fourskin for now!) and ended the night/morning with karaoke and supper at my humble home. Thanks for the great night, I'm glad you have a one track mind like me! Hey Soul Sisters! :D

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are charming gardeners who make our souls bloom. Much love. :)

CNY Weekend - MBS & Airport

One thing I dislike about CNY is, most of the shops are closed! Not complaining. Just saying. Since we know that heartland malls gonna be boring, we head down to Airport (my old time favorite place when I felt lonely!) for dinner and shopping spree. Yes, there are shops where you can still patronize and shopping! Popeyes - Chinta Manis - Yoghurt Place = happy goobers! :p

Few days before CNY weekend, we actually de-stress ourselves by window shopping and dinner at Java Detour MBS! Damn, I love that place. No crowd. It gotta be my next hangout place! Now who says working in social work ain't stress? Look at us, we've always need something to cheer us up. -.-

CNY Weekend - Goodies

How time flies, the long weekend is over! Back to work tomorrow! (It's ok, gotta endure 3 more days till my another long weekend!) Just a random update, on how I spent my long CNY weekend. Nope, I did not travel this year. Boohoo. :(

I was busy preparing some goodies for my 25 little lovers! I ensure that red packets are their favorite theme, I've no idea why these kids are so obsessed with Angry Bird! I told my students they deserved those goodies instead of money.. because I'm still single! I received couples of Chinese New Year greeting cards from them too although I'm not celebrating it. It's the thought that counts, anyway! Check out the last photo, one of them drew me, with the short hair, my top and that pass.. How cute! :p

Here's wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! May you always receive the blessings of elders, companionship of good friends and a path of life which is full of happniess and success! :)

Ray Of Hope - Giving Sincerely

I attended Sinarah Hati - Ikhlas Memberi, last Friday at Mediacorp theatre. Before I blogged about the sucessful event, I would like to extend my appreciation to TAA for the invitation! I was glad I could contribute something for the noble project. Thank you, Encik Yahya for dropping my humble blog and contact me through email. I was more than happy, thanks for the trust! Appreciate it alot! :)

The invited guests, beneficiaries and audiences were entertained by the great line ups of performances. I personally love Sezairi Sezali's Akhir Cerita Cinta and Kalau Berpacaran duet with Ana Raffali, I love his rendition the most! Husky voice, guitar and humble personality - #turnon! Lol! And how can not I forget to compliment our first SG Idol, Taufik Batisah with his soothing performances of the opening act for Ikhlas Memberi theme song and his hit malay song, Usah Lepaskan. He never fails to deliver at his best. I take my hats off to these two idols! Oh, Ana Raffali is such a sweet lady with beautiful voice and gifted with talents! I envy her!

It was a great come back for our veteran comedians. They sure know how to create jokes with sense! Heh. Kudos to our local acts for the short skit on lagenda P.Ramlee and gang. Reminisizing the old times, you say. Besides the performances and skit, our local celebrities did their Zapin dance as well! It was impressive, their effort in putting up such a perfect performance was paid off! On a serious note, the true stories about the beneficiaries has always been an eye opener for me. It touches our hearts and I'm sure our Malay community would open their heart to contribute more the event, after watching the videos. I couldn't control my emotiions, fyi. Heh. I admired the lady who is taking care of her 6 sick children, despite the challenges in life she is still strong in facing it. She encourage her children to strive hard in their studies and I hope Allah bless these strong human beings and their family..

Alhamdulilah, I'm able to meet the celebrities after the show for reception. (You know how segan I am now recently to snap photos with the artistes. Perhaps I'm too old to continue idol-chase. Hehe!) Nonetheless, thank you for the oppurtunity given, I met those whom I haven't been seeing for quite a while, I met the usuals, the favorites and the ones whom appreciate their fans (and I hope they will continue to do so!) ... presenting Taufik Batisah, Ana Raffali, Fauzie Laily, Hyrul Anuar, Wawan and the newcomer, Hisyam Hamid! :p

.... and I met my group of girlfriends too! It's been sometime. It was Jamilah's 25th birthday, thus it was a great catching up session and I'm glad I could somehow celebrate your birthday again! Have a bless year ahead, my dearest! (sorry sidetrack abit, ah!) :D

Anyhoos, thumbs up to the whole team for the awesome charity show. The two hour charity show managed to collect about $350,000 in total! Awesome! First Week of 2012

It's a brand new year. I had a pretty good first week of the year. Focused the weekdays on WORK, WORK and WORK! It's been piling up since school re-open. Overworked and burnt out! :(

So what I did over the weekend? RETAIL THERAPY! A lil' bit of shopping for those items I need (read, it's a need not a want!) for my room stuffs and daily life. I'm obsessed with PINK, thus the search on neccessary things like organizer, bags and shoes! I'm a sucker for gladiators, remember? And I'm a happy kid when it comes to shopping!

I also took the oppurtunity last weekend to drop by JB for AJL roadtour to show some love to the favorites! Ehem. Good luck to them! The heat is on! Can't resist on snapping at the so called red carpet anyway, ignoring the crowd-weird-staring. Heh. Clad in all blue, I looked like their mascot already. Lol. (p.s. Good luck, lovelies!)

Will update more about last night's event soon. Gotta head down to VGC Concert, supporting my talented group of children performing tonight! Till the next entry, have a great weekend! :)

Sinaran Hati - Ikhlas Memberi

This is the sixth year MediaCorp Suria and Tabung Amal Aidilfitri (TAA) Trust Fund are collaborating in charity concert, Sinaran Hati - Ikhlas Memberi (Ray of Hope - Giving Sincerely). The 2-hour concert will be telecast live from MediaCorp TV Theatre on Friday, 13 January 2012 at 8.30pm on Suria.

Hosted by the multi-talented Fauzie Laily and Ria 89.7FM radio deejay, Fiza O, the concert will feature a diverse fusion of classic, contemporary and ethnic song numbers by local crooners, Sarah Aqilah, Rahayu Ridwan, Taufik Batisah and Sezairi Sazali. What's exciting, there will be a contemporary never-been-done-before Zapin dance segment choreographed by local celebrity, Marina Yusoff from Sri Warisan and performed by artistes Maiya Rahman, Elfee Ismail, Norseha Sani, Shahrin Azhar, Shahril Wahid and Endang Rahayu.

Viewers can also look out for Amni Musfirah, a young and upcoming singer who has performed in ChildAid Asia 2011, Tokyo and the opening and closing of Asian Youth Games 2009. What's more, there will be a heart-warming skit item featuring popular comedians Arif Samsudin, Sahfuddin Mahfudz, Husin Saaban, Alias Kadir and Singapore's P.Ramlee look alike, Shafiie Hamzah. Welcoming 2012!

As we bid goodbye to 2011, I tried to recap on what happened last year, both sweet and bitter memories. It's time for me to open up to you, readers on my personal life experiences.

I kickstart the new year with new mobile line and I'm a BlackBerry user! I ain't a touch screen person, thus I've to say no to Iphones. Heh. I've to thanked my BB as I'm able to still keep in touch with my friends over the world, via BBM and whatsapp. (If there's Cinta Muka Buku, I should start composing Cinta BBM! Haha.)

I left SASAFC in April/May cos I wanna focus on my work commitments. I managed to overcome the challenges to be less active in the industry. I was tad sad, but I believe the FC gonna be there for me, through thick and thin. After a month or so, Aband decided to leave the industry and switched to his another passion. It was hard, but the FC managed to pull it through, and we promised that we will support his career no matter what goes by. All we need in this local industry is the continuous support from local music supporters!

I had a broken relationships/friendships this year. It was unforgettable, been 5 years knowing them but it all happened due to everyone's egoistic, selfishness and misunderstanding. I find it stupid, we are all matured enough to think of the solution yet we chose to argue and throw sarcastic remarks. It was really hard for me to bare with the situation, but I know Allah is guiding me in this life. I'll have to be strong. Mungkin ada hikmah di sebalik semua yang terjadi.

I managed to spend more time with my family, it's an achievement for my last year resolution! I cherished both my parents and shall sacrifices anything for me, and I really mean anything and everything!

I went to Genting and KL couple of times last year. We did jumping shots at every getaways, we did vlogs and put it up on youtube, we met new individuals and I'm thankful for every little thing that happened. I ought to have more getaways!

I took quite a number of courses last year, and I passed all the exams! I'm a certified First Aider, I had my cert for counselling, I went for behaviour management course and I'm currently taking dip in special education which will ends in March! I'm proud of myself. Heh. Looking forward for more courses in the future, insyallah!

So, in 2012....

I need to lose weight! It's been my yearly resolution. I just need to be more fit, and hopefully I can really achieve it this year.
I will continue to spend more quality with my beloved family and friends!
Planning for more getaways; vacation or staycation!
Work on my teaching skill as I'm very nervous with my primary 6 students taking PSLE this year. I shall pray it's going to be a smooth year for them.
Live life the fullest! Going with the flow. Berserah dan Tawakkal. :)

Year End Party

I'm a sucker at planning for something, shopping for others, cute little things and everything that jazz. Let me show you guys the preparations I've done before our Year End Party!

Celebration at work - performances by the talented children, great foods from the staff, bidding farewell to our deputy director, miggling session, distributing gifts for all staff and children and what's not. Spreading the love around with my awesome colleagues! :)

..and guess what? I also received gifts and appreciation notes from my bosses and colleagues! I am more than happy when receiving all PINK gifts! They sure know me best! Heh. Awwwmazing SBP staff. Thank you for everything, ladies! :)

Looking forward to a great 2012; hopefully more teamwork, better understanding, more committed and erm, work on our punctuality and performance. :p

Christmas Dinner @ Nando's Singapore

I celebrated Christmas last week with my SBP buddy, Del with a simple dinner at Nando's Bugis cos we usually patronize Nando's in KL. Great ambience, good food and friendly staff! We stuffed ourselves with 'Celebration for 2' and it was all goooooood. Ended the night by ladies favorite hobby, shopping spree at Bugis Street and Far East Plaza. Took a stroll around Orchard, people-watching, photography and had supper. Heavy human traffic but I'm a crowd-person. Heh. Talking about an awesome night? Yeah, we did! :D

.. I am in the midst of preparing the Christmas gifts for 27 staff and the children! Spent a bomb, but it's a once a year thing (after bonus!), and I felt great to shop for others! I love shopping for Christmas! :D

On Turning Twenty-Two!

Greetings everyone!

I turned 22 last Tuesday, on 20th December. (Yes, I am thatttttttttt OLD!) I was on one week leave, thus I took the oppurtunity to ease my mind and shop till drop! No grand celebration this year, just dinner with relatives, bonding time with my parents and basically, thats all! I love the simple things in life. I am trully blessed with the loves around me. Thank YOU everyone for your wishes through smses, whatsapp, BBMs, calls, facebook and twitter! I managed to reply each and everyone of you, so yay to me! Anyway, I'm gonna share with y'all the moments of truth - turning 22.

1) An advance surprise celebration by the colleagues at Swensen's Vivo City during lunch. Thank you SBP staff, you guys are the sweetest! Thank you for the Miss Sixty watch. Thanks to the children from the Home too, they were super sweet to get me gifts and wrote me love letters for my birthday! Their effort to get anything in PINK made me speechless. I am elated and touched. It's been 2 years, and counting.. hopefully. :p

2) Lunch treat @ York Hotel. Since I owe my parents a staycation / vacation (I've no idea why I was so busy to even plan it out!) I brought them for lunch at York Hotel. Just the three of us, it feels kinda awkward but it was all good. Quality time with the parents, we head to town for some shopping after lunch and ended the day at Simpang for karaoke (yes, they love singing!) and supper while watching EPL match. Thank you for being my pillar of strength and my motivations, Mak and Bak. You deserved this moments. I will make you proud, insyallah.. :')

3) Since I was on leave on weekday and it was a school holiday, I brought my nephews and nieces (cousin's children) out for an outing and dinner at IMM. Wish Danial could join us, but he wasn't feeling well. Little rascals day out, definitely made my day with their cute and sweet antics. Cik Ani love you all, thank you for singing the birthday song, very out loud! :)

4) On the real birthdate, I spend the day by staying at home. (And tried my best to reply all messages and wishes!) Heh. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at home, with parents. Bliss. Mak actually bought a birthday cake from Awfully Chocolate! Another sweet moment, thank you my dearest folks!

My birthday wish? - No, don't ask me about about marriage. Jodoh dan pertemuan semua di tentukan Allah. I just wanna complete my Dip. in Special Education, spend more time with family and friends, plan more getaway and vacation, and lastly improve on work performance (cos I'm taking PSLE students next year!). That's all for now. Heh.

Dear EVERYONE, thank you so much for making my birthday even more special with all your wonderful prayers and wishes! Trust me, it definitely means a lot! I AM 22! ♥

Farewell, Cris. :(

Had a farewell dinner on Monday for one of my best colleague, Cris! I was upset as I didn't get to send her off at the airport the next day because I had to accompany the children for their day camp. I cried upon sending Cris my last message on my way in the bus. I just couldn't control my emotions. Cris was one of the few staff whom approach me with a smile on my first day of work at SBP. Such a humble and lovely lady. It's been 2 years, and Cris decided to leave Singapore and build a new life in Dubai, with her husband. She was from Philipines, and she's one of the nicest foreigners I ever worked with. Really.

Marie Cris, thank you for welcoming me with open arms at SBP. Thank you for taking over my class when I was away. I truly appreciates your effort and sacrifices. I will miss the good times together, during our retreat, those moments I needed help with wrapping presents and etc, those times when you randomly knock my office to chit-chat and all that jazz and sweet. Thank you for always praying the best for me, to find the Mr. Right and continue to pray please! Hehe. Now, I've got no one to bully and rant to! It's all memories. Thank you for being part of SBP family. You'll be greatly missed! :')

Junaini & Shahril's Wedding

Two days before my cousin's wedding, Mak called me up (while I'm at work!) to ask if I can help out with the hantarans (the gifts from bride to groom). It was super last minute?! I definitely can't say no, as it was my close cousin's wedding! So yes, it's all about sacrifices! Alhamdulilah, with the limited resources found, I managed to clear the task given by 5am on that Saturday! Phewwww. The gifts from the bride to groom were in green & black! It was the groom's favorite colour, awesome combination. The chocolate tier was my surprise gift to Kak Cik, for her belated birthday! Heh. :)

Solemnization Day - Saturday afternoon with pretty humid weather. It rained heavily in the evening! Tsk! Alhamdulilah, it went well. Congrats Kak Cik, we are all happy for you! She looked sweet in the wedding outfits. More photos for your viewing pleasure, check out the hantarans from the groom, it was neatly and nicely arranged and it's PINK! :p

Reception Day - Sunday. Reported early at the venue. Haha. I've always love wedding functions and gatherings, as we could meet those whom we haven't meet for ages! My old neighbours, my far relatives, and the list goes on.. It was a busy day for everyone as we had to mingle with guests and what's not. But hey, We will try to squeeze out from the big crowd, just for photo-taking! It's very vain, I know. :p Back to the wedding, I totally forgot to snap when they changed their outfits to the evening dress gown. So here are the photos during day~

CowBoys VS AhLians

19th November 2011 - Singapore Children's Society annual event held at York Hotel. Theme is CowBoys/CowGirls VS AhLians/AhBengs!

I missed last year's event but I thought this year was kinda fun, when it comes to watch the line dancing. Loveeeee the halal food spread, especially the durian dessert. It was oh-so-awesome event and I love the photo booth! Colleagues and I won food vouchers for lucky draw. How lucky, heh! Enjoy the photos below as I don't really have much to brag about the event. Mak's Birthday - Her 51st!

Without YOU, there would be no me. Your love, your attention, your guidance, have made me who I am. Happy 51st birthday, dearest MAK! :')

It was a very simple celebration this year. Yes, just a simple dinner at Pizza Hut with a regular birthday cake. My brother and his family couldn't join us. It would be perfect if all of us could celebrate her. Nonetheless, Mak was grateful with the wishes and prayers from the closed ones. (Thank you to those who wished her on twitter and facebook! She was elated!) She is much more happier when I brought her for shopping in Town to pick her belated birthday gift. Guess what she chose? A simple sweet Coach wallet! Hurmmmm. (Anything for you Mak, it's a once/twice a year thing, I know.. :p)

My mum and me, it's like a love-hate relationship. We always argue on certain views, but deep down inside I'm sure she know that I appreciate and cherish her. I will take care of both of you like I promised till the end of my last breath. Semoga Mak panjang umur, murah rezeki dan sihat senantiasa dan diberkati Allah. Insyallah. Aidil Adha 2011

Hey lovelies, it's been a while since my last update! Pretty busy nowadays, how time flies and November is coming to an end! My students are done with their final year exam, and I was elated that majority of them has improved, thou it didn't meet their expectation to pass with "flying colours". School holidays means, I'll be more busy with lots of activities and outings, plus prepare for 2012! :(

Just a short update on my Aidiladha celebration, nothing beats our Aidilfitri celebration anyway. Just like every other year, it's a family affair gathering at my abode. I didn't dress up this year as I was busy helping out Mak at the kitchen and I was zombified! However, huge credits to Mak for her determination (as always!) to beautify our home with her black/white masterpieces! Yes, she sewed the curtains, pillow cases and my bedsheet in flowery-black-white. And of course, the delicious spread that we couldn't say no for another serving! Nasi Ayam, Lontong, Ayam Masak Merah and my favorite, Kuah Kacang!

Room Raider. Revamping.

A bedroom is a private room where people usually sleep for the night or relax during the day. Bedrooms can range from really simple to fairly complex. As promised, I shall reveal my bedroom. Room Raider? HEH!

I can't deny that I was known by being an avid supporter of local music. I'm not try to boast about it. Just wanna with y'all my old bedroom (what can you expect? I was young, still in fangirl mode!). I actually decorated my whole room with those posters I got when purchasing the artistes' albums. I had a single bed just for myself, and a big wardrobe that I shared with my brother. Well, in case you asked if my family was against my decision on decorating the whole room with posters and whats not, no they didn't! They believe in whatever I'm doing, as long as I know the boundaries, sincere in supporting and realize between fantasy and reality. Awww. :')

I was thattttttttt obsessed huh? Nay, this is the definition of my favorite past time! Unfortunately, everything changed when my brother wants to get married and he used the room as "wedding room" to be decorated. I had to pull down all posters, kept every single items in a box and it was all history! I'm a loyal sister, I don't mind sacrificing for good. My brother officially moved to his new house this year sometime in August and I finally get my room back! That's when I started to revamp the whole room!

Time flies, I'm a grown up lady. I'm no more into "fantasy life" or "pink princess theme" thus I chose my main favorite colours, black & white for theme of my small room. Heh. I designed the inspired walk-in wardrobe (cos I've lots of shoes!) and showed my idea to the furniture shop owner, I saved my expenses to spend on my room's stuffs, I ensure everything is colour coordinate, I had my own posters instead of the celebrities, I get my parents' opinions and I'm (partly) contented now! I still need to organize my scrapbooking items, tons of photo albums, accessories and etc. (I'm so determined lor!)

I'll definitely update once it's fully revamped. Simplicity at its best. Till then! ♥

OCTO-BERRRR!

The month filled with celebrations and occasions at work. How can I not love my job? Awesome colleagues, bosses and students! Despite the ups and downs at work, I am still struggling and trying to survive in this line. Heh. That's life. :)

5th October - My colleague, Del celebrated her 30th birthday! Had our Nasi Ayam Penyet dinner date at Jurong Point, followed by a refreshing dessert at Ice Bar. Chilling out, de-stressing moments, is all we need! Happy birthday, to the most caring caseworker and my close buddy at work!

7th October - Children's Day! You know, I'm a sucker for cute lil' things and planning for occasion! So yeah, I gave something from the bottom of my heart (and pocket!) for my students only. (Sorry, abit biased lah!) Of class party, award presentation and lots of erm, promises to improve on academics. Anyway, children make you want to start life over. Happy Children's Day, kids!

17th October - National Bosses Day! Gathering for all colleagues and surprise for the 2 lady bosses! What's good? Great foods and companions! Happy Boss Day! Thank you for entertaining our antics and at times, the unprofessionalism in us. Hehe.

22nd October - Lunch out at Siam Kitchen, celebrating the vouge receptionist, Elly! She understands me the most! Happy 35th birthday to Jie2 Elly, stay young at heart! I love you like a Royce chocolate that captures our heart, and I still owe you. Hee.

Dad's 54th Birthday

You have a place of honor deep within my heart. You've been my superhero, Dad, right from the very start!

My dearest Dad, Mr. Jumat turned 54 last week. Unlike my mum, Dad prefers a family affair dinner and karaoke this year. We celebrated his birthday at Simpang Bedok over the weekend with the family and I ordered Pizza Hut (because I can't cook awesome dishes, yet. heh) on his birthday which falls on a Monday! You can prolly imagine how I had to rush from work to Town to get the cake & gift and back home to settle for the late dinner. I was on time. Phew! So he had 2 birthday cakes this year! Awww.

My Dad did not requested for a football boot this year (thank god his previous boot is still in good condition! Yes, he is still active in soccer!) so I bought him a formal blue top for him to attend his D&D which was held at RWS Convention Centre. How cool can it be? Heh. That's all about it. Short and simple celebration, isn't it? Yes, my dad is a simple person! Simple, yet strict. Very strict. :)

Shafyre’s premier showcase entitled A Sultry Flame held at Esplanade Recital Studio last Sunday, featured songs from his debut album ‘Flames’. Songs such as Melati, Mimpi Duyung and Firasatku had set their hooks on the hearts of Singapore Malay music lovers. Backed by an outstanding line of celebrated musicians, Shafyre took us through an exhilarating journey in the one-hour show. The audiences were charmed by Shafyre’s progressive rock tunes along with breathtaking theatrics that kept audiences rooted to their seats in awe.

Congrats to Abang Sha on his awesome showcase! It was a spectacular musical experience! I personally love all his outfits that he keep changing, just to suit the song/theme. Great effort by the whole team as well! We enjoyed the night, but I thought he should sang the full version of Melati! Heh. Anyhoos, salute to our very own humble rocker, borned with talents; music and art (I can't help but be envious of his talent in design and drawing!), for his dedication and undying spirit! Was away to KL last week. What's new, right? Heh. Definitely a good getaway. (Back to work on Wednesday, sigh.) Danial Alfian's 1st Birthday Party!

Danial Alfian turned 1 year old on the 20th September. We celebrated his 1st birthday party on a Saturday, 24th September and hosted the party at Along's abode void deck at Jurong West. Unfortunately, I was down with high fever for a week and couldn't be the planner this time, thus my brother and his wife had to do the planning and whats not. You did a great job, Along! :p

The party was a special event filled with families and friends! The theme was Alfian's favorite cartoon - "Disney Pixar Cars"! The decor was done by Along & wife and the spread was ordered by Kak Isha's contact catering services.

Alfian looks moody as he didn't had enough sleep. But he was hyped up seeing the guests and his little friends singing, dancing and clapping for him! He even gets to blow a candle on the cake! He is still young to understand what was going on at this point of time, but once he grow up he will realize that his parents plan this special occasion for him and there are so many people who love him! He's bless with the love around!

So what did Aunty Ani bought for her little chubby bam bam? You know she gonna spend for her loved ones, right? Heh. Since Alfian loves transportation so much; he loves to stand at the driver's seat in his daddy's car, he loves sitting on a real bike, he loves staring at the real bikes on road.. And now he deserved his own Harley Davidson's battery operated bike! Haha. I'm glad he loves it. Look at his expression at the photos below~

My chubby nephew weight 11kg Danial Alfian, you're ONE! You usually wear a serious face out in public (that's what we have in common!) but you are constantly laughing at home and loves the camera! You always brighten up our days with your smiles and screams. You give me kisses when we haven't meet for a long time. You may not see me daily, but you're always no.1 in my heart. Hyrul Anuar's Mata MV Launch!

Last week, I received a personal invitation from then man himself. I was greeted with the cute "two eyes" on the rear of the card. You know, the feeling of honor when someone still remember you although you're just a silent supporter of his music career. Touched? Indeed I am! So, YES I attended his Music Video Launch! (Because I can't say NO to such a sweet person like him. Heh.) ;')

"MATA" MV Launch was held last Friday evening at The Screening Room @ The Arts House in conjunction with his 26th birthday and sixth years in the local industry. The man, clad in ATZUapparels (Spring/Summer Collection 2012) welcomed us with smiles and he tensed up before the MV premiere. He also shared that the whole works was produced by the NTU Art Design students, ShadowPlay Studio, ATZU for his cool outfits, Daen for his awesome make up, and Fantastic 4 Crew for the amazing choreograph! I personally love his MV as it was one of a kind, energetic and kinda K-Pop inspired! It was beyond AWESOME!

Note: "MATA" MV will not be uploaded online. It will be on Mediacorp Suria, Starhub Sensasi and probably Astro Ria!

I love the fact that he did most of the preparations for the launch solely by himself! (That is so me! Yay!) Well, I literally check on his twitter for those updates. Heh.

On a serious note, thank you once again for the invites. Continue to be who you are; humble, passionate and hardworking. May Allah bless you and may HE turn your noble thoughts, feelings, wishes and desires into reality. Best wishes in your endeavors.

I guess these pictures explained zillions words! Heh. I've exceptionally save the date in the midst of Syawal, just to attend his function. (You know, my weakness is, I can't say NO to someone who've treat me/family/friends really well or someone who is REALLY nice in person. Haha.) It was definitely great to be able to catch up with Recruits and his family, thou it's been less than a month since we met. He never fails to entertain his guests with his spontaneous antics, despite thousands of crowd attending his open house!

Eid 2011 - BLUE THEME!

Finally! Time for the much awaited raya entry! Who doesn't love Hari Raya, right? Of good foods, meeting far relatives, seek forgiveness from families, visiting and the list goes on..

This year, we chose BLUE for our theme. Just as you know, I'm a very detailed person. I would ensure (almost) everything are colour coordinated! You name it, from the cake, to the money envelopes, ribbons, outfits, utensils and whats not! Huge credits to Mak and Bak for doing the house spring cleaning, and helping me revamped my room, which I will blog soon. Heh. Since I was that busy during the whole month of Ramadhan; only back home at late nights on weekdays and out on weekends, my parents are the ones preparing the necessary needs for this festive day. My job is as simple as, doing the ordering of foods, baking of cake and did some kuih raya, shopping (!!!) and withdrawal cash flow. Heh heh.

I know I should be thrifty, but I couldn't help it cos' it's a once a year celebration! I don't really mind spending more for the family. Heh. I'm glad my parents go with the flow with my crazy ideas, as always! I ain't that satisfied thou, I wanted to do a candy buffet but Mak was feeling unwell the whole week since eve of Syawal, thus the sweet treats idea was being scrapped off. It doesn't really matters now, family's good health are way important to enjoy this joyous occasion. Anyhoos, BLUE was one of the popular colour this year! Woooots. Okay, enough of my ranting Get blue'd away by my BLUE Eid 2011! ('',)

Birthdays @ Singapore Flyer

Birthdays are celebrated in numerous cultures, often with a gift, party or so on. I am just someone who love making my closed one (family and friends) feel special during their birthday. Qing Yu and Taufiq have been with me for 5 years (and counting!) through thick and thin, of idol chase moments and whats not. Although we only meet twice or thrice a year, I'm glad we could still celebrate our birthdays together and had dinner to catch up on studies and life. We used to be in a big group, but the rest were pretty much busy with their own family. Nonetheless, they're still in our hearts! (Read: Kak Nora, Zarifah and Kak Noris & family, the HadFiks clan!)

My 2 "younger siblings" turned 20 recently and we had a celebration at Singapore Flyer and dinner at our favorite fast food restaurant, Popeyes! I ain't a perfectionist, but I would ensure everything are well planned on that day. Of birthday gift from Smiggle, candies from Sticky, brownies from P.osh, smiles, laughter and much love! Pardon us for being so "jakun" or "sawit" as it was our virgin ride at the Flyer! We had tremendous fun with the snapshots! Well, we're passionate about blogging and photography; that's our common interest. Heh. Magnificient and breathtaking view of the lion city! Really wished we could extend the flight hours! Teacher's Day 2011

My jobscope has never been easy. It isn't an office hour 8am-5pm job, it isn't a 2-3hours of lesson and teaching similar to mainstream school and it isn't about education, afterall. What was my jobscope then? Well, apart from teaching all subjects except languange, I had to deal with difficult and challenging children who came from different background. I do have children from special school, and working with them has never been easy. I need lots of patience and perseverence. I need to cope with stress, dealing with their behavioral problem, anger management and learning disability. Honestly, despite the negative days and down moments, they're still special in my heart.

I am always stress, for your info! Of children, reports, program planning, and sometimes within staff too. Heh. I've been in this workplace for almost 2 years, and I've learnt alot. And I am still learning! I thanked Allah for guiding me. It all started with my interest in Early Childhood Education, and I developed skills through courses and studies; of counselling, and special education which I'm currently taking. It was all good. I'm able to cope both studies + work. Thanks for the oppurtunity. Thank You Allah.

On Teacher's Day last week, SBP planned for the 3 teachers a celebration with much love; of photo montage, video shoutouts, cards and gifts, cake, wishes from all, and most lovely, hugs from my class! So sweeeeeet! Happy Teachers' Day to all educators, like me! :)

I was so slow-poke that I didn't know she actually collect orders for all these since July! I just had to comment on her facebook that I wanted those stuffs! I guess she must be contemplating to "donate" some of it, but know what? She really send it to me at 0% charge! Oh my, how can I not love her more! Chill out at various places with certain people. That's all about it. Super lepak kacang trip, we laze around in the hotel room more than roaming around cos of the rainy and comfortable weather. Ramadhan 2011

Ramadhan Mubarak! How time flies, it's the Day 15 of Ramadhan. These coming weeks gonna be hectic for us, as we will definitely be busy with preparations for Syawal. I've yet to prepare for myself anyway. Heh. Been busy with work that I could only break-fast with my family once a week! Sad isn't it? I would usually break-fast with the Muslim children at the Home on certain weekdays, Iftar with friends or colleagues on a day or two, and only available for family on a Sunday.

If you'd ask me what's my favorite dish / cravings for breaking-fast, I would say.. Mak's homemade foods! Nothing beats our mum's cooking! Of asam pedas ikan pari/duri, mee hong kong, mee bandung, etc. I'll usually "order" it, and Mak will oblige and I will help. Family bonding! Well, it's just me and parents, since my brother has his own family.

President's Star Charity 2011

The "President's Star Charity 2011" charity show3e live last Sunday, was a star-studded event, with a host of international and local stars taking to the stage to raise funds for the 28 charities supported by the President's Challenge 2011.

I was amazed by the international stars like Il Volo, American Idol Chris Medina and Julia Ebueva. They're just, fantabulous! The highlight of the night are definitely heartfelt performances by our favorite Singapore Idol alumnus Hady Mirza, Taufik Batisah and Sezairi Sezali! (Apart from being part of this charity event, they are the another reason why I attended PSC 2011, anyway! Heh.)

Night-Out

Greetings to you, lovely readers! Hazama was in Singapore for Raya Gemilang performance at Geylang last week. Need I say more? Heh. I'm pretty sure you know that I'm a fan of him, (not to forget, Aizat!) thus I would definitely try to find some time to catch him live in action! No, I didn't fetch or send him off at Airport, cos I've got work commitment, okay. :)

Praise to Allah, I was able to meet on Friday night during his full dress rehearsal and the next day, after his live performance which was also telecast live on Suria! How can I not be thankful for the opportunity given? I managed to ask him for autograph, talk to him randomly and chill out at Beach Road and Mustafa Centre! Stacy, Chaq and his management was there as well, so it's a double fun. Lovely, just lovely night. Awesome cliques, friendly new friends, my supportive Mak and Mr.Hazama! What more can I ask for?

Well, I was relaxed and calm. Really. (You can ask Azie!) I wasn't in my hyperventilating mode nor star struck. We kept giggling and laughing out loud during the night(s). Hazama is personally a random yet down to earth. He remembered us. He would randomly sang Shahir's Kebahagiaan Dalam Perpisahan, he scared us in the middle of the night while I was withdrawing cash at Maybank and I screamed (LOL!), he told us more about his life, his music and his other half. He would smirked and imitate my serious expression. Most importantly, he acknowledge all his supporters. After all, he is just someone I respect and idolized. :)

I'm glad that I was able to part of the annual event by Singapore Children's Society, this year! Despite the challenges on waking early morning at 5am on a Sunday and dragged my feet to Marina Barrage, I'm doing all these for the children! It was tiring yet fun! The children (and adults too!) had tremendous fun! Thank God for the great weather! From our sponsored top, you can roughly know what was the theme? Yes, Candies, Lollies and Chocolates! The participants not only enjoyed walking for charity, but was entertained by awesome performances, tempting foods and enjoyable games organized! Marvellous event. :)

And yes, I fell for 2 times in a week! My knee looks ugly now with the scars and blue-black mark. Sigh, fall for charity, you say? Heh. Till the next charity event, I'll be involve in! Toodles! :)

Anugerah Planet Muzik 2011

This year, APM 2011 was held at Max Pavilion, Singapore Expo in Singapore on 15th July 2011. Phew, don't have to travel this time! Heh. Being a local supporter, I would definitely support the local contingents, and ehem, showing some love to the regional artistes as well. (Read: Faizal Tahir & Hafiz!) Haha.

I've read reviews online and local newspapers, comments and criticism on social networks like Twitter and Facebook and I somehow agree that there were flaws in the event organized; draggy performances, live show being cut, red carpet discipline and the list goes on. But I always believe we can do better next time! Anyway, let's proceed to the lineups! Boy, I was truly proud of Aryan Band with their rendition of Azura 2011. (No, I'm not being biased just because the vocalist is my cousin) and I love the opening act by our 3 Singapore Idols, Anugerah winners Sarah & Rahayu and my favorite hip-hop duo, Sleeq! Can i sidetrack to the regional side? Heh. Hafiz AF7 and Faizal Tahir did amazing. Yes, I'm aware of FT's performance, but hey look at his showmanship! Awesome. Rossa & Hady's duet was simply beautiful. Who wouldn't fall for them? Heh. Lastly, I was blown away by the 3 divas, DCT, Melly and Jac!

Huge congrats to Hady for clinching 3 awards; Most Popular SG Song for Angkasa, Most Popular SG Artiste and Regional's Most Popular Song for Angkasa! Congrats to Hafiz AF7 for winning MY's Best Song and Regional's Best Song for Awan Nano! Last but not least, Faizal Tahir clinched Best Male Artiste and DCT (still) clinch Most Popular Regional Artiste! *applause*

Can i share some photos taken during the rehearsals for APM 2011? Heh. (Sorry, most of them are locals, you may probably get bored of them, but I'm not. Hopefully they're not too, haha.) Pardon my shagged makeupless faces! It was an impromptu plan, decided to drop by after by class. :)

Friendship is like a glass ornament, once it is broken it can rarely be put back together exactly the same way.

It's been almost a month, since I declare myself from being part of them. I am just someone straightforward and honest. When I know something ain't right, I would just rant out my thoughts and I want them to know what I really feel. It's just me. I'm a private person, I don't vent my anger or unhappiness on social network. I would correct them and wanting to let them know what's been going on, because they're what you called friends.

Since then, I've moved on. I've remove them in mind and delete those memories. Call me selfish, but I'm glad to be able to move on, unlike others who still rant about the past. I'm a positive person. I know we can no more be together, thus the final decision of saying goodbye to the friendships. I'm cool with it. If we are not meant to be together, then let it be. (If you're an avid reader of my blog, you would know what happened between me and the "bestfriend". But if we meet outside, we are being professionals, we smiled and a handshake. I do that to strangers too.) This is me.

I am not perfect either. I know there's haters around, but I called them my motivators. they made me who I am and made me realize that I could do better then before. I do have flaws, I know my boundaries, I know the reality check and most importantly, I know I have my own life - of career, part time study, families, friends and yes, the future other half.

It's officially over, people. Erased. :)

Simfoni Lebaran 2011

I know I would disappoint some readers out there, if you're waiting for my Simfoni Lebaran updates. Unfortunately, I was too late to grab the $35 tickets (thus no reception and the seats weren't near the stage.) On a positive note, I'm glad to be the first bunch of listeners to hear our two idols' upcoming raya collaboration song/album titled Kenangan Di Hari Raya!

I wouldn't review much about the program, thus you gotta stay tune during the eve of Hari Raya to catch it, only on Suria! Line ups are Taufik, Hady, Aliff, Sarah, Rahayu, Eiss and more! It gonna entertain your night with fresh performances and hilarious skit! Why need invited guests from other countries when our local artistes can bring the whole theatre down?! Just saying, heh.

Sweet Surprises!

I received couples of sweet surprises this week. Alhamdulilah. Thank you to the thoughtful human beings who knows me well, although they are way far from me. Heh heh. It may meant nothing to you, but it meant alot to me! I'm thankful. :)

When I received this parcel right from my doorstep, I was reluctant to unseal it. It was from KL. Woots! It was Kaer Azami's latest album entitled "A New Chapter"! It was autographed by the singer himself and a polaroid of his photo too! How exclusive and lucky can this be! I love his music, and I was indeed happy to receive this! Thank you, Kaer! I have yet to meet him in person, but hopefully I'll be able to make it for his showcase soon. Remember Izinku Pergi? Yes, he's the owner of the song. I love A New Chapter, my favorite tracks gotta be Masih Mencintaimu and Atas Nama Cinta! My beloved readers, you should grab a copy of his album cos its super dope! ('',)

Next, knowing that I'm a fan of the AF9 Winner, Kak Cita from KL sent me 2 copies of latest edition of AKSI magazine! Haha. Yes, it's the cover and poster that matters. Not forgetting my dearest Azie who bought for me the same magazine when she went to JB! Haha. How sweet can my friends be?! Thank you so much, ladies! I'm glad you have a one track mind like me! :p

Lastly, I remembered I tweeted to a friend who have bought Zahiril Adzim's poetry novel. I was kinda envy and told her that I will get it once I'm in KL. But last 2 days when Kak Zu, a KL friend came here for short trip, she gave a surprise by giving me the Bogel Menuju Tuhan by Zahiril Adzim! Oh my, another sweet individual. It's been so long since I hold and read a malay novel! Time to brush up on language! And I love this book cos there's a sense of religious in his poetry. I love Zahiril's blog, you may check it out at my right side bar. Again, thank you so much!

Anugerah 2011 Finals

I was invited to watch Anugerah 2011 live last Tuesday at Mediacorp Theatre. Thanks so much, Izked for the invites! Frankly, I didn't follow up much on this year's season due to work commitments. I hear and read feedbacks and comments through social networks. Many claims that this year's Anugerah wasn't great as previous years and I gotta agree with that. Maybe the top 3 female finalists was one of the pulling factor. I am no one to judge, I was just saying my honest thoughts.

I enjoyed myself during the night. I knew Rahayu would clinch the title cos she nails it for all her performances! I've to say that all the 3 female finalists deserved a standing ovation for their effort and great attempt. They're all winners! Congrats Rahayu, Shikin and Elrina! 19062011. I'm glad I could make it down to your show. (Despite your sarcastic tweet mentioned to me!) I know I have to be there; to watch you perform live for the last time, to meet the groupie which I haven't been meeting for long, and to smile, thou my heart is breaking.

I feel you. I know it's hard to leave this industry, after 6 years of commitment. I thanked you for being appreciative towards the fans, acknowledging them and the moments spent. Despite the misunderstandings, you're still someone I look up to, as a brother. We're so close, and I can never imagine being in the space, without supporting you in the future. I'll miss the good old times, everyone does.

The meetup (finally!) was great when you're shocked with the surprises by us and the individual gifts we gave, but it turned to an emotional one when you hugged us before leaving. We are like siblings, aren't we? You may no longer be in this industry, but you will never be forgotten. Our well wishes and prayers for your new career goes out to you! :')

I didn't celebrate Father's Day as "big" as Mother's Day. My dad is someone low profile, he's happy for what he is now, even a not glamorous dinner at Mr. Teh Tarik, a formal top to a function I gave him, and a ready- made cake bought, was more than enough for him. Awwww.

My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person; he believed in me. Thank you so much, my hero, my inspiration and my one and only Bak! <3

On Attending AF9 Finale

Been wanting to blog about this trip - since 2 weeks ago, but my mind was totally blocked after the down moments theose past days. Yes, indeed i am still tad sad on what happened recently. This is it. This is life. (Okay, move aside unnecessary topic!)

During the KL Trip, (yes, again!) we managed to drop by some places to catch our locals in action. Remember Adil and Awi? It's been sometimes since I last met them and I'm looking forward to hear more good news about them soon. My best wishes to the locals who are pursuing the career in Malaya! We managed to catch up KL Gangster too, at Times Square. We took the premium slot and we're privileged to get the cinema theater all by ourselves! Haha. The movie deserved two thumbs up! It features our locals as the main lead and the story line was awesome, what more can I say? But, I didn't shop much this time round, except some goodies for my colleagues and students. Anyway, I enjoyed this short trip with my awesome crazy fun ladies of mine. Thanks soul-sisters! ('',)

Back to the title mentioned above, YES! I attended AF9 Finale Concert at Dataran Putrajaya! Boy, I was amazed by the whole works and atmosphere. To be able to witness the prestige event was a great experience! This is the last season of AF, so by hook or crook, I've been hoping to watch at least one of their performance show, live. It happened! We have our own favorite, thus we were rooting for them to clinch the title. I wouldn't want to brag much about this trip, his winning and all the sweet gestures but again, I would like to highlight that despite the down moments (even while I'm in KL), I'm glad I could make it down to show my sincere support to the favorites. Being able to watch the concert was a great honor, and being able to meet them was beyond my expectation. I've to say that these bunch of talented human beings featured below are really friendly in person. I was kinda touched when they could recognize and know us. Sweet memories I shall never forget. All praise to Allah.

You must be tired of reading this - Yes, I'm indeed lucky to have this opportunity given, but at the end of the day, when I'm back in SG, I know my roots, I'm back to reality. I'm back to my normal routine - of teaching, friends, family and all that jazz. There's nothing I should be proud of. HEH!

Jangan Kau Lupa - Syed Azmir

His journey started from that platform, and he ended it on that stage too, last night. I was tad disappointed for not being able to attend it but I am more disappointed with the criticism thrown at me. My deepest appreciation to those who still believe in him. It's been 6 years. All those good times, I shall never forget.

The hand kissed to the stage, the expression to control your tears, the waves to audiences and smirking, the body language, I believe it's hard for you. I believe in you. We all do. Thank you for being the best ever, and we wish you will stay the same despite the change in you career.

The best feeling being a groupie was, when your favorite singer look out for his fans and acknowledge them while performing. Need I say more? He is one of those rare locals. He can never be replaced. I'm proud of you, and will always be, Syed Azmir. Thank you SASAFC. :)

KL Trip - June 2011

Hello lovers! Heh. Sorry I can't help but to update that I was away to Malaya again, last week. What's new, right? It's been my monthly, or maybe weekly routine. This time round, I brought Mak along as she's been begging me to shop there again. Okayyyy! Guess who followed us too? Our manager, Fafa!This trip was suppose to be strictly shopping + food hunting, plus attend event if there's time thou. So lemme summarize this trip for y'all. :)

Shopped, chilled and midnight movie marathon of Nur Kasih The Movie & Karak at Pavilion (we spent most of our time there anyway, that's my favorite hangout place!), managed to catch Sofazr and Isma AF live recording for RTM entertainment show at Angkasapuri, and lastly we finally dropped by AEON AU2 Setiawangsa to show some love to the AF9 contestants! My all time favorite gotta be Hazama! Well, I like Erul and Azri too! Heeeee. I was a happy goober, I was starstrucked, fanmode strikes and all that jazz. I was just, mesmerized!

But I guess it's Mak's blessing to bump into a few celebrities. We gotta thanked Mak for spotting them and alert us, cos we're busy roaming around and when Mak saw those individuals, she called us and when we arrived, those individuals were sitting with Mak, waiting for us! Howwww sweeeeettttt! One of the sweetest trip I shall never forget! Thank you, Mak, Azie and Fafa! Thank you Allah. :)

KL Trip - May 2011

Getaway to Malaya has been my monthly routine, either for family holiday, attend events or just to chill out with friends. Of all places, why KL? Hurm, because it is where everything started. Heh.

Went to KL with the Minah Malayas last weekend, a short getaway, to release this anger and stress in me. Haha. We do not have any event to attend thou, not even a proper itinerary, was just planning for lepak-kacang trip! Time for more shopping and food-hunting! :D

Day 1 - Reached KL at about 3pm. Checked in to our Suite at The Zon, which was just 10mins walk away from KLCC! Breathtaking view, big rooms and everything nice! Everyone was literally fatigued after the long walk! We kinda lost our way. Heee! Slack around till 6pm, and head down to KLCC and Pavilion for a lil' bit of shopping and dinner. Yes, Nandos and Baskin Robbins for the win! I didn't shop much, but for Mak and SIL gifts for mother's day. Heh. Spent the wee hours walking around Bukit Bintang and sang our lungs out like a roadtour showcase, at Redbox. Awesome shit night. Tired yet fun. :)

Day 2 - As usual, we always skipped the complimentary breakfast as most of us woke up late! Haha. Continued our second day shopping and walking around Masjid India to shop for hijabs for our mums and had our lunch at the famous Insaf's Nasi Bryiani, Petaling Street for more Rayban collections and ended with chillout at Pavilion, watching an Indie bands gig. Another round of great short night. Went back to our Suite earlier than usuals as we were energyless so had to pack the halal Carls Junior woots! We spent the night watching Scream 3, but I dozed off halfway through. Hehe. The four girlfriends woke me up around 2am, asked me to get ready and head down to the lobby! I was zombified thus I just put on a jacket and make my way down. At my most unglam state, I saw Sam. Appreciate the short meetup. Awww. Saya suka awak! :p

Day 3 - Tutti Frutti at Times Square to kickstart our day, dropped by the cinema where the Nur Kasih casts happened to be there for promo, such a beautiful coincidence! We didn't stay for meet & greet thou, but I'm glad I showed some love to my bestfriend! Hehe. Rushed for a late lunch date with him again. Oh yes, he is the ever sweetest human being! I can't brag much about the "date" but I appreciate every little things. I love that evening, it was priceless. It was nice meeting Yana too, she's uber friendly. Thank you, Sam! I'm deeply touched. :') We then seperated, and we continued our shopping spree, chill at A&W and starbucks and whats not! We left KL at 12.30am, reached SG at about 4am. Short trip but definitely a memorable one. Love you, my girlfriends and who ever that matters!

I managed to ease my mind during the trip and throw all the negative thoughts and problem I had at work. I'm now used to seperation and the fantasy/reality life thus I didn't feel the excitedness. It was all good. Orang kata, jodoh pertemuan ditentukan Tuhan, so thank you Allah for all that happened. I'm blessed. Till then, lovelies! :)

Mother's Day 2011

I was away in KL with my girlfriends during the actual Mother's Day. Sorry, Mak! Heh. I make it up with her after I came back in SG, for a dinner at Carousel and a short shopping spree at ION. It was a very short session, but I'm glad to spend time with just her and myself. Initially, I've bought her a Sembonia handbag in KL for her and my SIL, but she insist on another Guess bag. Okayyy, once a year thing, eh Mak? Haha. Nothing much to brag about, as I was really fatigued after the short getaway! Oh ya, celebrated my sister in law and mum at home too. With the presence of the ever chubby Alfian! It was a feeling of satisfaction when you see your mum feel happy! All praise to Allah! :)

I've always dedicate or blog an english motivational words to mum but this year, I coincidentally found an amazing song for her. Thanks to the talented brother, Zaibaktian! Haha. She was mesmerized and had it as her mobile ringing tone! The lyrics moved me:

Labour Day Weekend

Apologies for the late entry, I was pretty busy these days (you know, mother's day preparations, KL Trip and some personal problem. heh) thus here's a simple short entry what I was up during that Labour Day long weekend! :)

My family was out of SG for short getaway, I had to stay home alone to complete work assignments and run errands! Well, I didn't stuck at home actually, I attended my company's general meeting on Friday night at Furama Riverfront Hotel and had dinner at Kintamani Restaurant. The Indonesian spread wasn't that bad afterall, but I've always been a dessert lover. Heh. Photo credits to Elly! :)

Had an outing with Syaliza and Wawa to Vivo City, RWS and Clementi Mall. The two siblings never fails to make me laugh out loud with their antics! It was freaking crowded anyway! Bad timing thou, but I managed to shop neccessary items for my work assignment, phew! Had to carry heavy shopping bags all by myself. Lol. Thanks you two, for being accompanying me and chose the best gifts of all. Check out their never-had-a-proper photos. :p

I went out for some shopping spree alone in town, and met up with friends for dinner at Tong Seng and our favorite frozen yogurt, and lil' bit of catch up session. It was definitely great, thanks to government growth dividends! Shopped till dropped. Thank you Allah.('',)

Trip to Genting / ABPBH 2010

DAY 1 -

We departed from Singapore around 8am and reached Genting Highlands around 2pm! Phew, it was a long journey, you know? Immediately check in to Theme Park Hotel once we arrived cos all of us were really legarthic and badly need power nap, good rest and what’s not before recharge ourselves for the nightlife! Oh wait, the view from our room is awesome! We can literally see the whole view of Theme Park! It's a 3star hotel, thus affordable and comfortable. Yes, recommended! What's more, we stayed in the same hotel and level with most of the celebrities! Such a pleasant coincidence!

We then proceeded for late lunch/early dinner at First World Plaza. Well, don't expect much cos I find nothing much attractive and affordable, compared to KL city. My girlfriends want to avoid fast-food restaurants, so we tried "Hot Pot" - a steamboat halal restaurant. A traditional version of Seoul Garden I would say. Affordable and tons of varieties! Roamed around the place, and the bunch of us decided to shop most at the chocolate boutique! Temptations. Had a lil' bit of shopping cos we had enough walking. Heh. Well, there's no transportation as the plaza and hotels are all located nearby. Check out our satisfied faces!

On our way back to our hotel, we bumped into the celebrities, they were from ABPBH rehearsals. And personally, I would never expect a famous someone to recognize me in one or another way but I really appreciate it. Hint: Kamal, Sam and Alyah! How can I not love them, you tell me? I shall keep it personal and not brag about it then. Heh. Apparently, there were many artistes but some rush off thus a hi-bye situation. We make a move, back to our hotel room as my girlfriends had planned a surprise birthday celebration for Zizan! And from the photos below, it was clearly seen that I love snapshots rather then helping my friends setup the celebration! Haha. Okay, so we managed to surprise the man! Succeeded! He had no idea on our presence thus he was deeply touched, shocked and thankful. How sweet of us, right! Lol. I just love to observe speechless and surprised individuals. Heh. Thanks to my girlfriend, Shikin and his pa, kak marina! Happy advance 27th birthday, Zizan! He's a multi-talented individual, so do check him out. :)

Once we're done with the celebration, we headed for supper at Old Town (my all time favourite beverages!), and reached our hotel room around 3am for a pyjamas party! Random, crazy, whatever you may call us. But hey, I’m talking about FUN! Don't mind the makeup less faces during supper and our deprived childhood theme pyjamas party! Well, we slept around 5am. Heee!

DAY 2 -

Early and cold morning in Genting! As usual, had our (pretty late) breakfast at the in-house cafe. The food was kind of fine, but my preference are exceptionally western food, so you got to ask my girlfriends how’s their Asian foods taste like. Heh. Us being so fickle-minded, went back to the hotel room, wanting to catch Melodi on TV3, live. But wait! The live telecast was from Theme Park Genting itself, thus we watched the hosts and invited guests being interview, live from our level 9th room! Lucky or what? We were literally screaming like mad women from our room, without realising that Kamal and Sam actually saw us! :p

We then headed to First World Plaza, to dine in for lunch! On our way there, guess who we met? Them again, my favorite Hero Malaya, Kamal and Sam! "Nampak korang terjerit-jerit macam rumah terbakar, minta tolong!" Lol! Whats new right, another photo taking while chit chatting (sempat aje lah kita ni kan!), before we rush down for lunch at Pizza Hut and another round of shopping! Honestly, our SG's service and cooking are way better! No offence yeah but I still love Genting! Again, we saw more familiar faces walking around but we can't be bothered because we were famished! Hehe.

Had enough of shopping, walking around, snapping randomly, we head back to our hotel room for short nap. rest and preparing for the night! I heard you, readers. It's the ABPBH 2010 night! How can I not be so excited, and revealing my inner child! My deepest appreciation to that someone for the tickets. Really, I would do anything for that someone cos I believe we owe him one, apart from secretly prayed the best for him! Okay, back on track.You know, ladies and their at least 2 hours of makeup’s, hairdo and what's not! Haha. It's been my forte to look good and best when attending a function or event. Don't you? :)

Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2010 - ABPBH, held at Arena Of Stars, Genting Highlands. It was my first time attending this event and I was amazed by the whole works! A grand event with awesome crowd, great performers, gorgeous and sharp guests, everything was uber dope! Apparently, the 5 of us didn't feel awkward at all! We were madly shouting for our favourites, grooving along with the songss, and literally enjoying ourselves! I shall highlight my top picks - the opening act by Lan Typewriter warmed up the tensed environment, indie band Hujan at their best, Yuna's medley performances, energetic trio women Shima, Alyah and Ella with Ella's medley hits, Anuar Zain's heartfelt single, and lastly, Dato' Siti closing act with Korean-influenced and percussionists involved! Thumbs up, ABPBH!

As for the results, it was purely on voters' decisions via voting through smses and forms in Malaysia's BH. I personally didn't expect some of the winners and was quite disappointed, but who are we to judge? Hurmm. Anyway, I'm glad that Shahir clinched the Most Popular Male Newcomer, Zizan deserved the Most Popular Male Comedian, Lisa grabbed Most Popular Movie Actress, Yuna being the Most Popular Female Singer and last but not least, that adnan-sempit guy clinched Most Popular Movie Actor and the main overall grand title, Most Popular Star Award 2010! Honestly, when the result was announced, my heart beats fast and we broke into tears of joy! We were sincerely proud of Sam! Praise to Allah.

Post-event - we aren't invited guests nor VIPs that allow us to be at the post-party, but after the event, we were mingling around the hotel lobby and nearby places. Heh. We're lucky enough to meet them when they're on their way back to respective rooms. Because it's now or never, we approached them despite it was during wee hours and they looked really shagged. Frankly, not all willing to have individual shots taken. I admire individuals who really appreciate their fans and it's a bonus when they recognize or acknowledge you. And psst, I'm glad we met again, as promised! Heh. So here you go, the not much photos of the postevent!

Again, our "night" ended around 4am, had breakfast at Old Town (again!) next and head back to our room. We were too fatigued to plan any other party so we started to sleep at only 5+am! Crazy mode on, but we had fun through out the night!

DAY 3 -

Next morning, overslept, skipped hotel's complimentary breakfast, pack up in rushing mode, check out at 1pm and bumped into more familiar faces! How lucky, eh? They willingly oblige to have photos taken with us, maybe because we looked so fanatic, or perhaps so Singaporean? I met my good-looking bestfriend too, inside joke anyway. My heart was pumping hard when met Shahir. Guess I've fetish for polite and soft-spoken guys. Hehe! But hey, not forgetting our must have jumping shots and random crazy pose! Spending our last few hours there with sweetest memories! Told ya we extremely had FUN!

Before we officially leave the breezing cool peaceful Genting Highlands, we make our way down to Old Town (yes, daily dosage i tell you!) for the much awaited blind date, oops i mean lunch with the big winner! It was really unexpected. You know, my heart sank when someone is thattttttt sooo sweet! His sacrifices, his time for us, the acknowledgement, and everything nice. We owe him big, and I really mean it! Thank you for remembering me as "anak pak jumat yang muka ketat", for not breaking your promise, for being nice to us and everything that jazz. Hanya Allah saja yang mampu membalas jasa baik insan yang berhati mulia ini. Semoga beliau akan terus sukses dalam industri ini dan kekalkan sifat rendah diri yang tersemat dalam dirinya. Terima kasih, Sam. :)

We departed Genting with a heavy heart. We shall cherished the good times. And Genting will never be the same again... Sigh. Arrived in KL at dawn, check in to our luxurious hotel suite at Berjaya Times Square Hotel and we've got the 40th storey! You can prolly imagine how long was the duration in the lift! And oh my, the room is huge with affordable rate, complete with a small kitchen, big bathroom, dining table, etc! The view from our room is breathtaking! Mind us, cos it's our first time staying. I strongly recommend my readers to check it out! What's more, shopping heaven are just walking distance away! Love it!

We took our sweet time to chill out in our room and decided to leave for dinner only after 9pm! Had Nandos for dinner, roam around the happening Bukit Bintang area, chill out at Pavilion, and had an impromptu meetup with Aril. It all happened after my girlfriend randomly tweet him! Again, its so obvious that these type of famous individuals care to meet his new fans, despite not knowing us personally! He don't mind either. I love considerate people. Heh. Huge thanks to him for bringing us to Kampong Baru for supper. They said their Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa is the best! I was too full to even try but I had my teh-o-ais-limau! Thank you so much, Aril! It was great knowing him, super spontaneous and easy going! Thanks for making my girlfriends so happy after a moody day.

Day 4 -

Woke up late the next morning cos everyone was enjoying their sleep at the comfort zone and dragging to check out from the hotel as we were contemplating to leave! Received sad news, thus all were frustrated. Really not in the mood to spend the rest of the day. Hurm, let's not blog about it. Had our brunch at TGIFridays, Pavilion. My first time trying and I love their Fried Mac N Cheese! Guess it's gonna be my latest addiction. Haha. We had different meals, and mine was definitely Fish N Chips. Huge portion, great ambiance, friendly staff and you need lovely friends to complete it.

Continued our window shopping, had to separate due to time constraints as we need to get our own stuffs. Not to forget the must have Tutti Frutti! By the time we need to leave KL for SG, we were all down. I hates goodbye, especially when you wished that the trip will never ends! Sigh. Anyway Singapore, we are back. *cries* Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose. :')

That's THE END of my entry on the 4 full days trip! I love travelling and I love to share! Sharing is caring! Pardon me for the long entry. To my girlfriends; Azie, Shikin, Lyn and Syasya, it was great having you in my colorful life. It was indeed a memorable trip. Despite the ups and down, and down again, the misunderstanding and what's bad, we make mistakes too. I hope you cherish these good times too. *sings* Bersama-sama, tempuhi segala. Saat gemilang akan tiba dan kita kecapi bersama~

Readers, go ahead and envy me, get jealous and etc. I admit I was privileged to be able to meet talented humans that everyone adores. I know right. But you know what? I felt nothing. When I'm back to my normal life, resume working and struggling through, I realized that these are just fantasy. I don't have to brag or proud of all these. But thank you Allah. Ini hanya suatu fantasi walaupun ia adalah kenangan terindah yang sukar untuk dilupakan. Tetapi kita harus berpijak di bumi yang nyata. Kita semua sama, hanya manusia biasa. Tak ada yang istimewa dan tak ada yang abadi.

Fuhhhyooooo. Weekend Getaway!

Hey everyone, I'm back! What's new right? A short getaway for me and two friends last weekend. Reached SG last night. Short and sweet trip, but definitely worth it cos it was a lil' special! Heh heh. Let me feed you with photos taken during the getaway, starting from our brunch at Old Town White Coffee, cos it's definitely halal! The signature white coffee freeze is a must try! Heaven! :)

Upon checking in the Hotel Selesa, the three of us just slackkkkk till late afternoon to meet our beloved people. So yes, chill and sleep, first! Gotta be productive in the night, you know? I love my last photo! Thank you Zizan! You're loved! :P

"Perangai Budak Gemuk" strikes in the middle of night, thus we had our KFC Family feast (the cheesy wedges is FTW! only available in malaya!) and snacks to munch on. Very PBG, right? Oh wait, saw the Restaurant SASA below? Lol, Syed Azmir is the owner or what? :P

We ended our last day by stuffing ourselves with Seoul Garden. Oh, how affordable! About RM100 for 3pax? Great deal. I'm a sucker for beverages and dessert, you see. Like-d! :)

I love my weekend getaway! I love my life. Looking forward to Genting trip next week with my girlfriends! So who cares if it's just Asia? It's about travelling. Not showing off. Heh. Good night lovers. :)

Jom Heboh @ Danga Bay

My last weekend spent - Jom Heboh at Danga Bay, Johor Bahru. It was schorching hot! But my friends and I had fun! No, not that we actually met Malaysian celebrities, but we were literally enjoing ourselves, shopping for cheap deals, snap shots like no one cares, singing our lungs out like our own event and the list goes on. Awesome!

Let me introduce these guys to you, One from SOFAZR, Zimi from SOFAZR, Akim from AF (didn't manage to meet Tomok thou) and lastly, Tiz Zaqyah from NurKasih! Friendly and nice people. Trust me.:)

You know, I love my friends. They are as crazy as me. Hehhh. Imagine these photos were taken in the middle of the huge crowd, right front of the main stage! *angkat tangan, pusing!* Kitoo bakorrr jerrrr!! :P

Mission Trip - Kampung Air, Batam.

I truly enjoy no more of the world's good things than what I willingly distribute to the needy. :)

Alhamdulilah, first mission trip to Kampung Air in Batam accomplished! It was such a great experienced. I've always wanted to contribute to society in the region thus this was my first mission. Insyallah, more to come. I feel blessed when I'm able to help those in need. Thank you Allah.

I went with my colleague and her church friends whom organize this trip. We are Singaporeans you see, regardless of race, language or religion, we gotta help others. I'm there cos I love children. I felt a sense of fulfillment when we were able to create smiles on their face! These children are the rubbish collectors and some are the tsunami victims. Symphatize, indeed I am.

Nothing much to brag about, I'm just happy with what I'm doing now. :) And oh, i ate goat's tongue satay during the trip! Haha. And managed to stock up my tehbotol! No shopping thou. Hehhhh. Yesterday was an emotional day for me, and maybe for them. I finally decided to step down from the club. No, it's not a sudden thought, but I've been thinking about it since I started my career. I gotta focus on my work and family. I sent them an email with a good thang attached, and a lil' bad news written. I'm glad the ladies understand me and they have always wanted to see the best of me. I was touched by my friends' well wishes via twitter and smses. They were sad, and so do I. I love them for who they are, because we are unique in our own way. We may be small in group, but we are strong. Thanks, ladies. What more can I ask for? You guys have always been there when I needed you. You've been part of my life. Of organizing events, screamings and what's not.

I broke into tears while I was in the train, upon reading his sms and tweets. It was really unexpected. I'm touched by his words, but I'm glad he respected my decision. He has been very good to me, we never had any arguments nor misunderstandings. He never complained whenever I supported other local or regional acts, apart the joking sarcasm. He's the best person I ever worked with. Always going with the flow, and appreciate his fans. Really. 6 years knowing him, he's like my own brother. Thank you for having me in your club. Thank you for appreciating my work, like you've mentioned, since day 1 and so on. That's all memories. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! I really appreciate it. You'll always be remembered. Thank You is a mighty powerful prayer.

Leaving the club doesn't mean I'm no longer supporting him and the locals. I'm not going to be missing in action, trust me. I may drop by once or twice. It depends. It's just that I'm not longer active. I need some personal space too. I know our networkings were shocked by the news, even Mak disagree about this matter. Well guys, I'm talking about commitments now.

A short getaway over the weekend to (again), Malaya baby! Trip with cousin and family, of short sweet getaway, nothing much to brag about but food food and food! And lastly, I finally tried the burger ramly daging rusa - a deer meat which tasted like chix + beef and it's thick! You know I love getaways, right? I'm a happy woman woooots. Much love everyone!

Syamsul Yusof & Shaheizy Sam

A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever.

I did not enjoyed my CNY long weekend last weekend because I was seriously sick, for 4 days. :( I know I'm tad strong, I dragged myself to Mediacorp for JBTA, followed by cabbing to Rendezvous Hotel later on. I was pretty excited, exhausted plus having slight fever isn't cool at all. Again, I believe I'm strong to survive for that night, only.

Back to the topic, yes I met Syamsul Yusof and Shaheizy Sam when they were in Singapore last week for Anugerah Seri Temasek. Fanmode strikes me again, I was kinda hyperventilated when I met Syamsul Yusof, because he was so manly, with that huge professional camera that I wanted to faint immediately! Just kidding. Heh. Syamsul was in a rush going back to his room, thus we had quick snapshots and congratulated him on his awesome movie, Khurafat that hit RM8million! Amazing job done. :) He was so nice, and sweet. I've been admiring him for great act and movie directed! Heee! I heard you ladies, he's a good looking chap! ('',)

Next up, the adnan sempit guy, he was late thus we had to wait for him at the hotel lobby! Okay, so we finally meet Shaheizy Sam after the long wait. You know, I'm a person who would just want to meet, say hello, shake hand, take photos for memory sake and say goodbye. Buttttt, this chap whom I'm not close to, at all, that I rarely tweet him, and I'm just a normal fan of his acting, actually asked us to chill out with him till almost 7am! I can't brag much about our meet cos it's a little too personal R21 maybe. Lol. It was crazy. But heck, I didn't feel nervous or excited, I felt comfortable talking to him. He's a down to earth person and easy going. I really mean it! He's everything nice! Sanggup layan peminat yang bukan hardcore sangat, sampai cuma ada 4 jam untuk tidur! Gila sweeet ni mamat! How can you not "fall in love" with this guy at the first sight, you tell me? ('',)

Because he's too sweet, I decided to went home, freshed up, dragged Mak along (sebab dia tanya Mak masak apa kat rumah? Lol!) and cabbed there again, just to send him off at 11am. Not sleeping for more than 24hours! I know, I am so semangat but since he could sacrifice for us, why not us? Call myself lucky to meet these two hunks. Thank you Allah, for the strength you've given me, for the oppurtunity to meet and know them better, for everything. I'm blessed. :)

But at the end of the day, these are just fantasy; of idols, favorite actors, etc, they are just human being like us, nothing special about them that I should be proud of. I met someone talented, and that's all. Tak perlu di gembar gemburkan. Kita perlu berpijak di bumi yang nyata, ye tak? Heh.

Kenangan itu, hanya mainan bagimu. :)

Okayyyyy... So i gotta give some space in my blog for the locals! :P *clear throat* Hey all, hope you guys doing well! It's been a lazy weekend for me! (I choose not to attend any events / invites / etc. I need some time for myself and love ones thou..)

Last Saturday, the Kopi Bujang casts were invited to the new program in Suria, "Jangan Betulkan TV Anda" which will debut today, Sunday 13Feb! But wait, today's episode gonna featured our locals hip hop duo, Sleeq! I ain't sure when the Kopi Bujang guys episode will be out. Shall update via Twitter, alright? Anyhoos, I went for the pre-recording of the JBTA together with SASAFC and Fauzierettz to show some love to the brudders, Syed Azmir and Fauzie Laily! The recording went smoothly, great performance, good lookings guys, and what's more, hilarious talkshow with Adibah Noor and Suhaimi Yusof! You guys gotta watch, it was uberfunny and entertaining!

Universal Studios Singapore

Hey lovelies, this gonna be a lengthy entry cos I'm gonna blog about my 2nd trip to Universal Studios Singapore. Hoyeah! The first trip was on Dec with my students thus not enjoying myself much. But this time somewhere last week after my Damansara trip, I went with a good friend of mine, who is really, scared of height and rides! Instead of story-blogging, let me share with you some points on "Why You Should/Must Go To Universal Studios Singapore" (again, and again)! :)

USS Itself - The view of USS is really magnificient! You won't expect it gonna be so amazing like that! Looks surreal, it gonna brings you out of Singapore! Hmm, to Hollywood, Egypt, Castle? Awesome landscape that you'll fall in love at first sight!

Calling The Photogenics - If you're a cam-whore freak and oh-so-photogenic, it's a must to bring your camera along, especially those professional camera! The New York streets, the fantasy Far Far Away, the ancient egypt, etc! Perhaps you should bring along a tripod stand! You'll feel yourself at a dream world! You'll get what I mean by looking at these photos. :P

Foods - Some of my facebook friends asked me if there's Halal foods at USS? Yes! The restaurants are Mel’s Mel’s Drive-In, Friar’s, Goldilocks, Celebrity Café & Bakery, Oasis Spice Café and Gloria’s Snack Shack. I tried Friar's chicken wrap before, and the Goldilocks' Mama Bear meal too! A set meal cost about $10 only. Trust me, it's all nice and worth your money!

Meet and Greet The Stars - You get to meet the famous and glamourous characters like Kungfu Panda (my hero!), Marilyn Monroe, Betty Boops, Beetlejuice, Woodpecker, Charlie Caplin, Shreak and Fiona, Madagascar, and many more (if you're lucky enough to queue fast!) And don't just posed straight and smile, be crazy and fun! These characters gonna entertained you with their creative poses! I feel like in a fantasy thou, deprived childhood, you say?

Thrilling Rides - My first trial was the Enchanted Airways junior coaster that serves destinations throughout the world of Shrek! Accelerator is spinning like mad! Fun yet giddy! The Revenge of The Mummy is a must go! The part that I remembered was when the coaster hit the "dead-end wall" with high speed where lotsa beetle's scurrying in the sides. And without warning, the coaster moves with high speed and goes into reverse, downwards! Total darkness! I have yet to try other rides thou because either it's closed due to raining or the queue is too long! Well, I was scared of rides at first, but I managed to conquer the fear and enjoyed it! I did not scream at all, I laughed out loud when heard people yelled. Haha. Hey, heard Battlestar Galatica, the world's tallest dueling roller coaster will be open on 21st February!

Great Shows - Shrek 4D Adventure is the best! Through the miracle of OgreVision you’ll see, hear, and actually feel the action right from your seat! Lights, Camera, Action! is hosted by Steven Spielberg, showed you on behind a scene of a movie, from a calm day suddenly turns stormy! (During my first trip, my students was so frightened that they hugged me tightly!) And lastly, at Waterworld, you get to witness tidal wave of death-defying stunts, along with thrills and spills from real explosions of fire and water at this sensational live water show.

Shop Till Drop - On quirky souvenirs, movie memorabilia at shops dotted all around the theme park! Damn, I wish I have zillions of cash with me to shop for everything that are so nice! Just name it, tshirts, keychains, magnets, trophies, bolsters, superstar candies and everything!! I love to shop for others, you see. My nephew, my students, everyone! Hehe! And oh, go crazy over the chocolates and candies! They're so tempting! I ended up spent about $200 on that day. Lol. I can just drop by again for the sake of shopping!

Urusan Aizat Amdan - Live In Damansara

(Not surprisingly to all of you...) I attended Aizat Amdan - Live In Damansara showcase last week! Boy, my ladies and I were all excited for this trip/showcase! I won't brag about our earlier preparations and when we bumped into him in hotel though. We shall make it a short and sweet post. :)

Attended by more than 800 fans, and VIPs such as Dato Siti, Dato' Sharifah Aini, Dafi, Mizz Nina, etc, Aizat rocked out Damansara with 16 songs in total, backed by his talented musician friends/siblings! Started with his English hit, Years From Now, to his back then popular song, Hanya Kau Yang Mampu and Lagu Kita, to his upcoming single Di Mana Pun Kau Berada featuring DJ Fuzz and extra performance requested by the amazing crowd, an heartfelt rendition cover of Anuar Zain's Perpisahan! I had goosebumps throughout the more than 2 hours of showcase! It was definitely worth our trip and we'll always looking forward for more of it! I'm glad I witnessed this beyond awesome showcase! I felt so surreal. Thank you, amazing Aizat! :)

Damansara, baby!

A short getaway to Damansara last weekend to de-stress ourselves with a lil' bit of shopping, foods and simply to ease our mind from hectic work! Wanted to meet someone, but he was in SG. :( Anyhoos, had a great time with my lovely ladies, Nurul and Lyn! They were actually craving for Subway and whatever-restaurant-which-are-all-halal-there! Haha. And I was just being super lazy, been sleeping in the coach to and fro, in the hotel and anything good spot, I'll automatically zonked! Lol. Apparently, my 2 other ladies were there as well, Shikin and Aishah! They stayed in KL but did dropped by for lunch and party! Thanks for the great time, lads! :)

I love my trip because; Odyssey coach and it's excellent service! A personal TV screen for us to watch movies, play games and even surf the net on the move with it's free wifi! So luxurius! Next, our stay in The Royal Bintang Hotel is connected to The Curve! How convenience to shop around! And lastly, Damansara is so peaceful!

I should have stayed there for another night cos I'd no chance to explore more places nearby! It's a lil' luxurious place, so don't expect sales or cheap stuffs hor? Heh. Thank you, Damansara! I'll see you soon! XOXO! :)

Merry January!

Been a while since I last blogged. Hmm, 2 weeks? Heh. I love my January, baby! Managed to spend time with the loved ones, at least once a week! Had to sacrifice my weekdays evening till midnight just for them thou, as my weekend are usually busy. Heh. Of dinner, supper, outing, shopping, and birthday surprise! Damn I feel so blessed with the love around! Korang terbaik dowh! :)

There is nothing worth the wear of winning, but laughter and the love of friends.

Would like to take this oppurtunity to congratulate my best schoolmate, Syazwani and Aizat on their wedding last 2 weeks! Woots, looks like most of my friends are hitched. 0.o

My deepest condolences to my cousin, Sheerah for the lost of her dad, Cik Rahim on the first week of January. My first time seeing Mak broke out into tears when she received the news. I feel her. Cik Aim was her close cousin. Hugs to my family.

Of Resolution, Hope and Dream.

New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes. Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011.

So, what is my new year resolution, you asked? A resolution is generally a personal goal someone sets out to accomplish in the coming year. Hmm, I don't think I can. Bleargh. However, these are my resolutions:

1) Remember our childhood talks? "I want to study hard, get a good job with high pay and support my family. I don't want my parents to work when they are old." - Awww man, I still hold on to this! Thus I shall continue working towards my dreams! I will not let negative remarks put me down. Hoping to improve on my finances and career. Enough said. I learned the value of hard work by working hard.

2) Well, I really need to spend more time with my family and friends! This has always been my yearly resolution but never accomplish. Sigh. Hopefully this year will be a good one. Insyallah. I'm gonna show my appreciation to the loved ones by spending time with them. I know they need me.

3) I love to travel! Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living! Hopefully I can plan something new this year, new destinations, new companies on a new year! Shopping lah hey!

4) Take it slow. Step backward. That's what I'm doing currently. Mak said that it's pretty hard for me to leave this 'scene' because I still have Abang, and some others who still appreciate me. I was kind of confused. I've always wanted to take a step back because I had enough of the hypocriticism and what's related. Slow and steady, I can. Insyallah.

5) Because I am fat, overweight, obese, and whatever that is related to the words, I need to lose weight! Yes, I've been gaining weight like there's no tomorrow ever since I started working! Must be my great colleagues and lunch buddies lah! Haha.

Majlis Cukur Rambut Danial Alfian

"Cukur rambut" is the baby's very first haircut, done in the accordance with Malay tradition. It is an important rite of passage and is very much seen as an occasion for the extended family to come together, renew bonds and welcome the new baby into the clan.

The ceremony was held in Jurong West, yours truly's humble abode. You know I'm a person who would do all the way for an occasion right. Especially when it comes to my baby nephew! Thus, I was given a "Blue Theme" for this occasion. Mak did the cooking while I did the decos and setup. The rest of my family members helped out. I must say that teamwork is really important! :)

Staycation - Crowne Plaza Hotel

Why spend so much in other countries when you have gorgeous hotel in Singapore? We need to experience for ourselves what it is really like to stay a night or two in the hotels in Singapore.

After much discussed with my family and bestfriends, I decided on Crowne Plaza Hotel, linked in seconds to Terminal 3, Changi Airport. Very convenient! It's (kinda) far away from the congested town and roads. Lol. For our stay, I booked a King Suite which comes with a king size bed, a sofa-bed, a separate walk-in wardrobe, a huge bathroom, and more. Oh yes, thank you Marina and Kak Nurul for the surprises! I love them all! Breakfast on bed, surprise gifts, bubble bath, Popeyes for lunch and everything that jazz. Damn, you guys made me feel like a princess during the stay. And lastly, thank you Mak. I'm a happy 21-year-old lady. I promise to take good care of my parents. Love of my life, again thank you ALL!
