Bandstand Elektra

Just a quick update on the Bandstand Elektra I attended last Friday. It was such a last minute decision to attend the show, thanks Joy for the tickets!

I wouldn't brag much about the show because.. it was just AWESOME! 100% homegrown talents, what more can we ask for? Thumbs up Mediacorp Suria! My most favorite performances are the refreshing rendition of Ibu by Sezairi, La Obe by Hyrul, Oh Fatimah by Fauzie, Suatu Masa by Fuad, Cenderawasih by Elfee and last but not least, his own Usah Lepaskan by Taufik! (Sorry if its sound biased! Heh.) Oh, congrats Taufik! I hope you'll stay grounded, just like before. :p

Lastly, I must blog about this - FUAD RAHMAN IS BACKKKK! Welcome back to the world of showbiz, brother! You're greatly missed! Can you hear the non stop screaming and cheering from the audiences during his performance? It was just amazing! I wish and pray that you'll stay... The industry needs someone like you, a singer with a humble personality, unique voice, and you're a gem! We've always believe in you! \m/

Yes, again with the same person(s). If you've read my blog, you know I tend to take less and lesser photos of the celebrities. Think I'm too old for that. Anyhoos, that last photo is my brother, Junaidi Sali! Guys, production house, or any individuals who're looking for a talented host or actor that can sing as well, go get him! He's multi-talented and all he needs is more exposure! ('',)

Balik Kampung!

I've always love the "suasana kampung"! Just like in the Malay dramas and magazines. Think big crowd of villagers, local dishes and the list goes on. My family/relative doesn't own a kampung in Malaysia fyi. :(

Alyah invited me over to her abode in Johor last Monday for her "thanksgiving feast". How sweet. Orang kampung datang ramai-ramai. Gotong-royong. Makan-makan. I love the experience! Once again, thank you so much Alyah for the invitation! Thank you for being a great sister and humble female artiste I ever met. Thanks to her family for the warm hospitality. Knew her for 4 years, (But this is the first time I blogged about her?) yet she's still the same. Best wishes in your career and may you find Mr.Right like Mr.HM soon!

Birthday & Farewell

Potluck party before the monthly meeting. Surprise birthday celebration for the boss cum farewell party for my colleague. Scrapbooking. Gift shopping. Random. Blessed. Love. :)

Happy birthday to my wonderful boss! Many happy returns of the day!

MuzikFM @ Marina Barrage

Last weekend, I attended MuzikFM event held at Marina Barrage. I love the open air concept events! (It reminded me of AF9 Finale, big crowd, awesome support and the list goes on!) I could imagine having a great night picnic-ing with friends and enjoying the performances at such a great venue. Unfortunately, on the day itself, it rained! Oh my.

Event was shifted to the lower level. Not a great location to held performances, but it was the only best spot I guess. It was delayed till very late night. Honestly, I am quite disappointed with the whole works but I know it could be better. The organizer tried their best. I know. Hopefully, I will not be disappointed in the upcoming event!  #justsaying.

I didn't get to meet the locals as they went off as soon after they performed. But I'm still proud of our indie talents! Loving the performances by Nana, Merah, Shahridzuan and etc! Not forgetting my favorites Dayang Nurfaizah, One Nation Emcee and Sofazr! Managed to meet the gorgeous diva, Dayang and the awesome group band from Malaysia, Sofazr who performed 5 songs on that day. Beyond awesome. Anyhoos, the photos explained it all! :D

p.s. We should have our own local showcase/concert. Solely locals. We don't need big names, we need our homegrown talents. Uncivilised people have been criticizing and skeptical about our music. Lets prove them wrong! Please.

Black Valentine

Had my annual Valentine's celebration with my HadFiks last Sunday. Been our tradition to celebrate it, although it left just the 3 of us. I'm sure the rest of my HFs are enjoying their celebrations with their spouse and family! (We'll always pray the best for you, Kak Noris, Kak Nora and Zari!)

We chose Sakura Dhoby Ghaut outlet this year as it was Fikq's first ever time trying out Sakura buffet and he's been craving for oysters, mussels and what's not. Haha. We chose Black Valentine as our theme this year because it's our common favorite colour! As usual, we prepared our valentine gifts for other HFs. Managed to catch up on each other, about their studies and my working life. Reminiscing our idol chase moments when we first started to gang up. Lol. And, my dearest QY and Fikq are turning 21 this year! How time flies and I'm turning 23 soon! OMG?! -.-''
